Bugatti Veyron ‘Ettore Bugatti’ Legend edition (2014) first pictures
Thu, 07 Aug 2014By Tim Pollard First Official Pictures 07 August 2014 16:19 Not many special editions make it onto the pages of CAR magazine, but when it’s Bugatti calling the shots at next week’s Pebble Beach celebrations it’s time to sit up and pay attention. This is the sixth and final special edition of the Bugatti Veyron 16.4, bowing out in a style not that dissimilar to an ageing Ford Mondeo repmobile. Apart from the €2.35 million price tag (£1.86 plus taxes!), 1184bhp power output and 0-62mph time of 2.6 seconds, that is… All six of the Bugatti Legends series are based on the open-top Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse.

Wed, 16 Dec 2009Bugatti has concluded its 100th birthday celebrations at the 2009 Dubai Motor Show by revealing three more special edition Veyrons. First up is the ‘Nocturne’, which is limited to a five-unit production run in the Middle East. It boasts contrasting black and polished aluminium body panels, as well as galvanised side windows and custom rims, while inside are a galvanised platinum centre console and a black magnesium dashboard.
Think City EV Cup Edition (2010) first official pictures
Wed, 30 Jun 2010Manufacturers have been trying to make their racers more economical for some time now; Audi and Peugeot have produced diesel Le Mans winners and CAR reviewed the Porsche GT3 R Hybrid in the June 2010 issue, but this the most recent fully electric offering from Norwegian company Think. Think has followed the traditional road-racer conversion for this one-off prototype, by stripping out most of the interior and space for the passenger, using Perspex instead of glass in the windows, installing a solitary lightweight bucket seat and lowering the centre of gravity. The company claims the diet reduces the Think's weight by nearly 70kg; that's the same saving as a Lamborghini Gallardo Superlegerra, remember.
