Detroit, heart of the American car industry, traditionally hosts the first motor show of the year each January. Officially known as the North American International Auto Show – or NAIAS – it’s a chance for carmakers to kick-start the coming 12 months with a bit of glamour and sparkle. Russo-Baltique Impression

One hundred years since its conception, the Russo-Baltique brand has been resurrected for a show car at Villa d'Este Concours d'Elegance. Once the maker of cars for Russia's Royal Court, the country's Revolution suspended Russo-Baltique's activities after the First World War, only restored in 2003 when work on the new Impression began. The car aims to demonstrate a high level of quality, using materials such as Zebrano, an African wood, to trim the interior.

Mecum achieves record-setting auction in Dallas with 1967 Corvette L88 convertible

Mecum is no stranger to hosting million-dollar auctions all over the United States. Their most recent event in Dallas put collector Buddy Herin's 1967 Corvette L88 Convertible in the spotlight, making it one of the most successful auctions in Mecum history. Being just one of 20 produced during that year, this rare breed made history for its $3.2 million price tag, the highest price ever achieved for a Corvette at any auction.
