It's a two-seater, three-wheeled electric city car that Toyota reckons is the future of urban motoring. Is the Toyota i-Road a potential Renault Twizy rival? While he hurried to empty his shopping trolley in the heavy rain I stayed lovely and dry under the protection of the enormous tailgate as I leisurely unloaded mine. This will never be a particularly cool car but the cool level must rise ever so slightly when other motorists express a sliver of envy, if only for that one small thing.
