Toyota recalls Toyota Avensis & Lexus IS 250
Wed, 26 Jan 2011Toyota recall the Avensis & Lexus IS 250 Toyota must have a sinking feeling of deja vu today, as the spectre of last year came back to haunt. 2010 was the year of the Toyota Recall, with millions of cars worldwide recalled to address the ‘Throttlegate’ issue of sticky accelerator pedals. Jaguar XKR175 Coupe Debuts at Pebble Beach
Thu, 12 Aug 2010The Jaguar XKR175 - to celebrate 75 years of Jaguar If you read the report we recently did about Jaguar celebrating its 75th anniversary by launching the Limited Edition Jaguar XKR75 in to Europe, you could be forgiven for thinking that either the headline is a mistake or Jaguar has had a quick recalculate and realised they’d actually been in business for a century more than they thought. But if you reached that perfectly reasonable conclusion, you’d be wrong. In the UK and Europe Jaguar decide that the car to celebrate 75 years should be called the 75 and be produced in that number – so 75 are being made.

Thu, 31 Oct 2013There’s a dog for every Volkswagen Instead of focusing on marketing just one car in its enormous range, Volkswagen UK has decided to go mad and produce one video advert for its entire line-up. Sensibly, VW has used a simple mechanism to make sure the advert gets the attention of British car buyers by using 36 different dogs to identify with the over 20 car VW model range (and it’s not the first time VW has used a lot of dogs to promote their cars). With getting on for half of all UK households owning at least one dog, it’s a simple way to get attention from viewers along with lots of ‘Aaahs’ and ‘that one looks just like ours’ to keep attention to the end of the sales pitch.
