Our three Super Flow computerized engine dynos are capable of measuring 11 separate engine variables up to speeds of 12,000 rpm. For 2007, we added a new Super Flow SF902 engine dyno. It's fully automated and programmable to simulate various driving situations, and is equipped with WinDyn software for the very latest in testing equipment. For real-world tuning, there's our Super Flow model SF-840 eddy-current chassis dyno that can handle up to 1,000 hp at the wheels and speeds of 200 mph. When all testing is completed, the results evaluated, and the part has passed all performance criteria, then, and only then, is the product deemed ready for production. These precise testing procedures are applied to the entire Edelbrock line for performance that's guaranteed. Edelbrock test vehicles are driven by Edelbrock engineers and employees to get a "real world" feeling for the performance improvements. With a 1.4 litre Turbo ECOTEC engine good for 148bhp, the ADAM S promises to be properly lively around town (Vauxhall hasn’t decided how quick it is to 62mph yet) and will reach 137mph if you feel the need. Thankfully, Vauxhall has also endowed the ADAM S with a performance chassis to make the most of the extra performance and tweaked the steering for more feedback.
Nissan wins New York taxi bid
Tue, 03 May 2011Nissan won the fight for an exclusive 10-year contract to design and supply the next generation of taxis for New York City, starting in 2013. "The new taxis will be custom-designed to meet the specific demands of carrying 600,000 passengers a day in New York City traffic," Mayor Michael Bloomberg said Tuesday. "The vehicle meets the top priorities identified by the public in our online survey." Nissan was battling Ford Motor Co.

As Kia moves more upmarket its concepts become more convincing. Recently, we’ve had the Kia GT – a high-end, powerful swoopy coupe that looks like it’s heading for production – and the Kia Provo which caused consternation in Northern Ireland but looks equally likely to head in to production as the Kia take on the MINI Countryman or Nissan Juke.
