This is a new-in-the-clamshell Edelbrock nitrous oxide pressure gauge. It's a 1.5-inch diameter gauge, designed to screw into the 1/8-inch NPT female port on a nitrous bottle, and it shows pressure from 0-1400 PSI. It's a nice fluid-filled gauge for accurate needle readings even when subjected to vibration, but honestly if you are trying to read bottle pressure while the thing is shaking, you have problems that correct nitrous pressure isn't going to solve.

In any case, it's a very nice gauge and will look spiffy on your nitrous oxide bottle. Jeg's sells this for $68, but I just want it out of my garage, so you have the opportunity to pick it up for much, much less. Questions? Don't hesitate to ask! Unless the question is "Will you end the auction early?" - I won't, because it's against eBay rules, and it just seems shady when a seller does that.

One Lap of the Web: Remembering the dearly departed

Tue, 29 Apr 2014

-- With news that Toyota is leaving the great state of California for the greater (by landmass, anyway; your own opinion may vary) state of Texas, it's worth reminding ourselves that Toyota in America started as one lonely building on 6000 Hollywood Blvd., having taken over a former Rambler dealership. (The site is still a successful Toyota dealership.) That first year of sales in 1958 saw 287 Toyopet Crowns and one Land Cruiser sold -- more as curiosities than as practical transportation, we'd wager. -- At any rate, Toyota's move from California to Texas is moving from "one of the most eco-friendly states in the union," according to Ward's Auto, "to the U.S.’s equivalent of China." -- Ten years ago today, the last Oldsmobile rolled off the line at Lansing Car Assembly.

Heuliez concept collection up for auction

Thu, 05 Jul 2012

A collection of coachbuilt specials and concept cars by French company Heuliez is to be sold at auction. The selection of 56 cars spans a huge spectrum from a Fiat 500 up to Le Mans racers but what really caught our eye were the oddball one-off conversions. Highlights include the Citroën BX Break De Chasse ‘Dyana', a three-door shooting break version of Gandini's classic, the 1972 Peugeot 204 Taxi H4 and the targa-roofed Citroën SM Espace.

CARS 2: The Queen & Prince Wheeliam

Sat, 30 Apr 2011

Prince Wheeliam - in a Bentley Continental? It’s one of those weekends where Royal stories will abound, so it made a bit of sense – to us at least – to make mention of the Royal and London connections in the upcoming Disney Pixar sequel – CARS 2. Topically – there’s a surprise – we have a Prince Wheeliam, which appears to be Bentley Continental GT-esque (who decided that, we wonder?) and The Queen seems to be a regal Rolls Phantom with a Crown on her roof.
