This is a used, but practically brand new Edelbrock #1405, 600 CFM, non -emission, Performer Series carburetor with manual choke. There has been very little fuel run through this carb.; it was on my Mustang for about a week while I tried to tune it. It didn't work out for me; throttle geometry was all wrong, couldn't get the kick down lever add-on to mate up correctly, and it was jetted for a different altitude, other than 7200'. It just wasn't old Mustang friendly; I'm a Holley guy anyway. I bet it would bolt on a Chevy and run great at sea level. Sells new for $304.95 at Summit, $319.99 to walk in to Pep Boys and buy it. No gaskets, t-fitting, or vacuum plugs included. Threaded plug already installed. Includes manual and installation DVD. Kick-down spring bracket in DVD case.

Also included in the box: Edelbrock Off-Road Needle and Seat Kit #1465 (a $15.00 value), Ford Throttle Lever Adaptor Kit #1483 for automatic transmissions; NOT AOD  (a $26.00 value), and some extra  needle springs, all in separate packaging. Make sure you do your homework before buying , as there are no returns.

This carb is clean, ready to install, and fully functional. There has been no more than six engine hours, tops, on this carb, if that. It was sprayed out with carb cleaner before putting into storage.

Fits most V-8, carbureted (naturally aspirated), small blocks. But please do your research. Not sure Ebay's inter-change list is up to par. Jegs and Summit have great interchange charts.

Chrysler 300

Mon, 06 Dec 2010

The Detroit Motor Show will see Chrysler unveil its 2011 300. Whilst benefiting from an extensive exterior refresh, the platform on which it is based remains unchanged, meaning that this 2011 model is little more than a face-lifted variant of the car that joined us in 2004. The exterior of the 300 loses some of its forbearer's sinister styling; its imposing face has been substituted in favor of a softer, more rounded style, intersected only by the muscular wheel arches.

BMW X6 M50d - Video Tease 2 with talking heads The BMW X6 M50d – BMW’s diesel-powered M car – gets a second video tease today, this time with talking heads. The BMW X6 M50d – or whatever convoluted moniker BMW decides to attach toi their diesel-powered M X6 – is certainly getting the full force of the BMW new product tease machine. Ignoring the real leaks about a diesel-powered X6, we’ve already had one video tease for the new X6 M50d, with the X6 blatting around mountain roads with the important bits blurred out.

Michael Gillam's concept is a very fresh combination of cabover, big-rig styling cues, Hummer-like off road stance and a large dose of product design influences. His concept is based on the idea of integrating the load bearing structure of the bed into the side rails, freeing up space to increase depth and overall carrying capacity. The silver colored structure is not only separate functionally, but also graphically offset from the dark colored cab area.
