Edelbrock Sy1 Sbc Intake Manifold on 2040-parts.com

Littleton, Colorado, United States
Condition:Used Brand:Edelbrock Manufacturer Part Number:2850

Here we have an Edelbrock SY1, 2850, Smokey Yunick Smokey ram manifold set up for a small block Chevy. WILL NOT FIT vortec heads.

Intake is unported and in excellent condition. Of the 5 I have had this is the BEST one. Intake comes with a new lid gasket. Intake does not have the dams or any mods. Lid will have all bolts to attach lid.
I provide a special tapered carb spacer that I believe helps distribution. I believe distribution problems arise when you put the carb right on top of that giant open hole and that is why people installed dams.  I run this set up on my 70 camaro with a ZZ4 engine and TFS G2 heads. Runs great, plenty of low end, idles fine, screams at high RPM, over 20 mpg with a 700cfm DP Holley.
The ports are not as big as you might think. They are slightly smaller than the Felpro 1205 gasket. This intake deserves to be run and not sit on a shelf. It is pretty shelf art but it is even nicer on an engine and when you have it tuned it runs as good as it looks.
You will need a small body distributor, HEI MAY (?) FIT as it has extra material cut out on the back runner for clearance but I have not run an HEI.

Classic Toyota bus back in service

Thu, 20 Feb 2014

TOYOTA has restored one of its classic buses and is now using it again to transport staff around its factory in Japan. The 1969 Toyota Coaster looks better than new after a full rebuild by workers at the company’s HQ. They had to scour the shelves of warehouses to find unused original parts to help bring back the classic bus to full health.

Hyundai Veloster Midship concept shows what the Veloster could be

Sun, 01 Jun 2014

The Hyundai Veloster Midship at the Busan Motor Show The Hyundai Veloster is actually a perfectly capable – if slightly quirky - sports car, which promises much but doesn’t actually deliver in terms of performance. In fact, when we  reviewed the Hyundai Veloster a couple of years ago with its 1.6 litre petrol engine, we wondered if Hyundai would have been better giving the Veloster a diesel lump instead, which would at least have made its paucity of power less of a problem with more torque to play with. And the Veloster Turbo isn’t a huge amount better, only offering 184 bhp and taking 8.4 seconds to get to 62mph; figures we would have expected from the base Veloster if it were to be a properly credible competitor in the sector.

Coventry University degree show 2011

Tue, 21 Jun 2011

Coventry University recently held its annual degree show, showcasing the works of more than 100 graduating students from the school's five different design disciplines: Automotive, Product, Vehicle, Transport and Boat Design. This year's show took place over two floors and two wings of the School of Art and Design's Maurice Foss building, adjacent to the famed Bugatti building, which houses the programs' digitizing and modeling laboratory. And with all the varied design disciplines mixed together, walking around the entire exhibition took rather a lot of time.
