So for Her Majesty’s state visit on 6 June, in commemoration of the 70th anniversary of D-Day, president Francois Hollande has ordered an old Renault out of retirement to make sure the Queen has the necessary headroom. Ford C-Max Energi plug-in hybrid gets 108 MPGe

Ford Motor Company announced that its C-Max Energi plug-in hybrid achieves an EPA-certified 108 miles-per-gallon-equivalent (MPGe) city and 100 MPGe combined. The rating makes the C-Max Energi the most efficient plug-in hybrid by MPG-e according to the listings on the Environmental Protection Agency Web site. The only vehicles to rank higher were the all-electric 2012 Mitsubishi i-MiEV with a combined MPGe of 112, and the 2012 Ford Focus EV with 110 MPGe.

Nov 2, 2004 - The winners of the 2004 Motor Trend International Design Contest were announced during Media Day at the California International Auto Show (CIAS) held in Anaheim. Top honors were awarded to Guilherme Albuquerque Knop (26) from Parana, Brazil. Guilherme received the award for best of show and a cash prize of $2,500 for his design of an Armani/ Transport.
