PIDS The Evolution allows the user to view up to 4 PIDs at one time. There are 11 different PIDs to choose from. Below is a list and description of each: • RPM (revolutions per minute) - Engine speed. • MPH (miles per hour) - Note: Dash display may be +/-3 MPH off from the digital display due to mechanical differences in the spring, etc. used to control the gauge. • ECT (engine coolant temperature) - Degrees F. • BST (Boost Pressure) - PSI • EGT (Exhaust Gas Temp) - Degrees F. • EOT (Engine oil temperature) - Degrees F. • TFT (Transmission fluid temperature) - Degrees F. • IAT (Intake air temperature) - Degrees F. • BARO (Barometric pressure) - PSI • BAT (Battery voltage) • DTC (Diagnostic trouble code count)
The following power gains are representative of an actual test vehicle. These gains were measured on a SuperFlow Dyno at an altitude of 4400 ft above sea level, and represent power delivered to the rear wheels of the test truck. The only modification made to the test truck was the addition of the Edge Evolution module. Power gains may vary based on vehicle and geographical location.

The Evolution programmer has the ability to remove/adjust your vehicle’s factory speed limiter. Improper use of this feature could result in a serious or fatal accident. Removal/adjustment of the factory speed limiter is intended for use in a closed circuit, legally sanctioned racing environment. Even if racing in a legally sanctioned racing environment, it is your responsibility to ensure your tires and other vehicle components are rated to travel at increased speeds with the speed limiter removed/adjusted. If you remove/adjust the speed limiter during highway driving, it is your responsibility to obey all driving laws, including adhering to posted speed limits.

The Spanish GP 2010 gets underway
We finally get back to the real F1 world with the first European race of the 2010/2011 season at Barcelona, a circuit that is probably better known by the drivers than any other thanks to winter testing. Yesterday’s qualifying saw the Red Bulls dominate as they have at ever qualifying this year. Only this time it was Webber who stole pole from team mate Vettel.

BMW AG plans to begin high-volume production of carbon fiber parts in two years, making it a strong contender to be the first automaker to move beyond limited-edition use of the exotic material. But Daimler AG, which has taken steps aimed at making carbon fiber parts in 2012, is among the automakers racing toward the same goal. In 2013, BMW will start building the i3 electric car, a vehicle that features a passenger cell--the protective shell around the passenger compartment that ensures the integrity of the vehicle in a crash--made of plastic reinforced with carbon fiber.

The Range Rover Evoque Prototypes - off to conquer the world
Last week were were a little hasty and a little harsh. We got sent a set of photos of the Range Rover Evoque all dressed up in camouflage and ready to go out testing round the world. We ran a story questioning why on earth Land Rover would send out disguised Evoques when we’d already seen a production-ready Evoque – without disguise – at the party to celebrate 40 years of Range Rover.
