Breitling commemorate ISR with new timepiece

Bentley's collaboration with timepiece creator Breitling is a well-established one, which stretches back years. The latest coming together between the luxury brands is in commemoration of Juha Kankkunen's world-record-breaking jaunt on the frozen Baltic Sea, off the coast of Finland. General Motors to invest more than $850 million to build new V8s

General Motors Co. said Tuesday it will invest more than $850 million to upgrade five North American factories to make its next-generation V8 engines more fuel efficient. The new V8s will differ from the current versions by using direct injection and a new combustion system, spokeswoman Sharon Basel said.

Smith, 64, has led Ford of Europe’s design team for a decade and is the father of the brand’s edgy ‘kinetic design’, but will step down on 1 July 2014, it was announced this afternoon. Before he retires fully at the end of the year Smith will work with the Blue Oval’s vice president of design, Moray Callum, on a global project looking at the future of Ford design.
