Up for auction is a contactor box for electric vehicles.  It is completely assembled and includes TWO contactors, bus bars, and terminals.  Although not shown in the picture, it also includes the mounting bracket and cover.

Removed from a working 2012 Nissan leaf, but may fit other years as well.  This unit retails for $574 USD from Nissan.  The contactors themselves are high quality (OEM) Panasonic units.  Even aftermarket contactors usually sell for $250 each, so that is a great price, no matter which way you look at it!  And if you have a Leaf, then it won't hurt to have a spare one of there.

We do not have any data on these contactors, so we are not sure when the voltage requirements are.  The Leaf battery packs are over 400 volts, so they should handle that just fine.  And since the car has a 12-volt primary electrical system, odds are that the contactors are 12 volt activated.

Please note that we do NOT accept returns on electrical components.  All sales on electrical components are FINAL.  Buyer pays actual S&H.

Thu, 19 Nov 2009

From 1960s Chevelles to modern Camaros, speedy Chevrolets have always been identified with two letters: SS.
