 Up for auction is a Electromotive XDi2 complete ignition system, it was a spare for a Midget Race car, very little use Dyno testing only, the box is the only component that has been used, the coils and trigger are still brand new, it is a standard ignition unit for Midget applications, but has many other applications. any 4 cyl race engine.
The complete system runs for about $1000, new, get it here barely used for much less.

Product Description

The 2-Coil Direct Fire Unit (DFU) features two high-current-capacity non-transistorized coils mounted to a black anodized billet base. The DFU is potted and sealed against moisture and dust, and features a 4-position Metri-Pack connector. All DFUs feature matched coils for optimal performance with your Electromotive system. DFUs are compatible with all TEC and XDi systems. The DFUs feature no internal electronics and can be mounted virtually anywhere in the vehicle. One 2-coil DFU will support a single-plug even-fire 4 cylinder engine.  Use two 2-coil DFUs when running 8-cylinder or 4-cylinder dual-plug engines. These coils thrive in high-boost, high-compression applications and work with any fuel type, including methanol, E85 and Nitro.

In a statement to JLR workers today, Ford of Europe chairman Lewis Booth said: ‘Ford is committed to focused negotiations at a more detailed level with Tata Motors concerning the potential sale of the combined Jaguar Land Rover business.’ This is the first time that Ford has publicly revealed the identity of any bidder for JLR.   JLR has been up for sale since June 2007, and other potential bidders include rival Indian vehicle maker Mahindra Group and private finance group One Equity fronted by former Ford CEO Jac Nasser. Tata itself already owns a few famous names, including Tetley Tea and Corus (formerly British Steel).

A faulty temperature sensor in the dual-clutch transmission is prompting Volkswagen to recall about 13,500 cars in the United States. The recall covers 2009 and some 2010 models of the Jetta, the GTI and the Eos. If the sensor fails, VW said owners will see warning lights on the dashboard and the transmission my shift into neutral.
