Ford recalls 144,000 F-150s for airbag fix

Ford is recalling 144,000 F-150 pickups from the 2005 and 2006 model years because of concerns that the airbags may deploy without warning, the automaker said on Tuesday. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration advised Ford to recall the F-150 after investigating 238 reports of accidental airbag deployment. Seventy-seven injuries have been reported, including chipped teeth, minor burns and cuts to the arms, hands and face.

Five Suzuki concepts for 2013 Tokyo Motor Show

Suzuki has announced no less than five concept cars for the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show, which takes place in Japan this November. Four of them are new: the Suzuki Crosshiker, the Suzuki X-Lander, the Suzuki Hustler and the Suzuki Hustler Coupe – the fifth being the Suzuki iV-4 already seen at Frankfurt this year. Holden has unveiled its new Calais V luxury sports concept, previewing the future design director of the carmaker's VF Commodore, which will be sold in the US as the Chevrolet SS. The halo car of GM's Australian arm is a clear evolution of the outgoing model, with an emphasis on greater percieved quality in order to appeal on a global scale.
