Top 4 Reasons why the FLEX POWER MAT™ beats crystalline panels hands down:

1) Unmatched in Durability – In Fact, You Can Even Walk On It!

Our panel can withstand hail storms and other weather including extreme heat and cold. (Most hard panels will melt the crystal in extreme heat.) In fact if you were to damage any section of the panel it will only affect that panel in our mat. Crystalline panels cannot be walked on thus restricting your roof access and also will crack and break in some extreme weather including hail storms.

2) Greater Efficiency – Draws Power for Longer Periods Throughout the Day

The Flex Power Mat is composed of 3rd generation, triple junction amorphous silicone, which means that our panel gathers all three rays of light. This allows it to draw power from the sun at lower angles and for longer periods throughout the day.

The Flex Power Mat generates 68Watts, 4.1AMP’s and 16.5Volts but is capable of producing more energy over the course of a day than crystalline panels with higher wattage due to flush mounting the crystalline panel on the roof of your RV. Crystalline panels can lose up to approximately 40% of their energy production capability by not having them angled to the sun. As we know, most people leave have their panels mounted flush on the roof and do not angle or tilt them to the sun throughout the day.

3) The Flex Power Mat Even Draws Power In the Shade!

The Flex Power Mat has Bypass Diodes and is Shadow Tolerant, which means that it has more efficient energy production even on overcast/dull days. Most crystalline panels when shadowed even 25% will not be producing power. Our panel produces power even when shaded by trees. So feel free to park at your favorite location and not have to worry about your panel producing power.

4) Ultra Low-Profile, Aerodynamic Design

The Flex Power Mat creates no wind chatter when traveling and its low-profile, aerodynamic design is perfect for resistance in high winds. This low-profile design also means that it is aesthetically pleasing on your roof, unlike bulky, non-aerodynamic crystalline panels. Our panel also creates no wind drag or wind load when traveling. With the Flex Power Mat, you never have to worry about climbing up and down on your roof to adjust or lock down your panel before or after traveling.

In addition to the Top 4 reasons already listed, below are even more reasons why you should choose the Flex Power Mat for your RV, boat or other mobile solar power needs:

• The Flex Power Mat is capable of conforming to just about any rooftop surface and design. Our durable EPDM rubber mounting system with micro sealant adhesive is designed specifically for the roof tops of recreational vehicles and also creates a gasket on your roof so there is no need for silicones and sealants when installing the Mat.

• 25 year warranty on power output at 80%

• 1 Panel Charges 2- 6Volt Batteries or 1- 12Volt battery in 7-10 hours.

Tax Incentives!

MINI Paceman Adventure Concept – it’s a Countryman Pickup

Sat, 26 Apr 2014

It’s a MINI Pickup – the MINI Paceman Adventure It’s always hard to decide if a MINI concept – and they’re not exactly as rare as hens teeth – is a real one-off or a pointer to a future production MINI. A good example of that is MINI’s April Fool in 2012 for ‘Camping MINIs’ which turned in to a fully-blown official concept in 2013 as the MINI Clubvan Camper, Countryman All4 Camp & Cowley Caravan. Now we get the MINI Paceman Adventure Concept, a pickup based on the Pacemena (itself based on the Countryman) put together by BMW students and instructors at plants in Munich and Dingolfing and built as an exercise to show the skills and talent of the apprentice programme.
