Cameras to catch illegal parking on the school run
Mon, 04 Nov 2013Schools and councils across the country are turning to CCTV to enforce parking restrictions during the school run – and a new low-cost camera system is set to make this even easier in the coming months. According to reports in the Sunday Times and the Daily Mail, the new surveillance system costs as little as £16,000, and is able to record and recognise the number plates of illegally parked cars outside schools. Mon, 17 Aug 2009By Gareth Evans First Official Pictures 17 August 2009 12:30 Dutch supercar maker Spyker unveiled a prototype for its forthcoming C8 Aileron Spyder at the 2009 Pebble Beach concours d'elegance. It's a drop-top version of the company’s hand-crafted C8 Aileron and production versions are due early in 2010. There's a coupe version as well - which was unveiled at this year's Geneva motor show - and together the two cars mark Spyker's second generation of supercars after the original C8s.

But in 1994, when the industry was still in its relative infancy, the Chinese government launched the 'China Family Car Project', inviting 20 major Western carmakers to develop proposals for a five-seat, cheap and environmentally-friendly family car for the Chinese market. The chosen proposal would be made in China under a joint venture with First Auto Works (FAW).
