Dodge Viper Nurburgring Record: Now on video

Tue, 27 Sep 2011

Dodge Viper Nurburgring Record Video We all love Nurburgring record videos; whether you like the car on offer or not, the skills and thrills on view make the ten or so minutes invested well worthwile. And the video of the Dodge Viper SRT10 ACR setting a Nurburgring time of 7:12.13 a few weeks ago is one of the best. GT driver Dominik Farnbacher drove a cracking lap to take the SRT10 on a lap that eclipsed the Viper’s efforts from 2008 by almost ten seconds.

Sarah McLachlan teases upcoming Audi Super Bowl ad

Thu, 23 Jan 2014

For all the overt hyper-earnestness Sarah McLachlan ladled upon us during her 1990s heyday, we might not’ve noticed that the Canadian singer-songwriter has a sense of humor. A cameo a couple of years back in the excellent Aimee Mann-as-housekeeper episode of Portlandia suggested McLachlan’s lighter side and now this weirdly-captivating teaser for Audi's 2014 Super Bowl ad sees the Lilith Fair founder futzing around with her own image, imploring that the Doberhuahua is a misunderstood animal that deserves our attention. We assume that the morphologically-perverse Doberman/Chihuahua cross is supposed to suggest that the new A3 is both small and vicious.

By Ben Whitworth Motor Industry 09 March 2009 09:49 BMW is pushing ahead with its second-generation Efficient Dynamics green car technology – with help from space scientists at NASA. Employing a thermoelectric generator similar in principle to those developed to power satellites will, according to BMW’s head of development Klaus Draeger, boost economy by some 5% on the combined cycle. Expect to see the new Efficient Dynamics tech in showrooms by 2014.
