Motorbikes 'surprise' car drivers
Mon, 11 Nov 2013MOST CAR drivers are "caught by surprise" by the sudden appearance of motorbikes, according to a survey of more than 21,000 AA members. But as many as 40% of drivers reckon motorcyclists are inconsiderate, with London bikers appearing to be the least courteous. The AA/Populus survey showed that 57% of car drivers were often surprised when a motorcycle appeared from nowhere.
Saab secures more funds as it seeks to avert collapse
Mon, 27 Jun 2011Saab parent Swedish Automobiles has found another financial lifeline in China as the struggling carmaker faces possible legal action from unions over unpaid wages. In a statement this morning, Swedish Automobiles announced that an un-named Chinese firm has placed an order for 582 Saab vehicles, valued at 13 million Euro (£11.5m) with full pre-payment 'expected to be made this week'. Mitsubishi tease three new concepts for the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show
Tue, 08 Oct 2013The three Mitsubishi Concepts heading for the Tokyo Motor Show The European Motor Shows may be over for 2013, but the Tokyo Motor Show is still to come (first public day 23rd November), and Mitsubishi are already teasing new concepts for their home show (above). All three concepts preview the future of Mitsubishi’s design language, and all three are SUVs/Crossovers of one kind or another. The biggest of the trio of concepts is the Mitsubishi Concept GC-PHEV, a proper full-size plug-in hybrid SUV, which Mitsubishi says offer dynamic driving and features MMC’s S-AWC (Super All Wheel Control) to deliver better handling and stability on-road and still be properly capable off-road.
