Lotus chief executive Dany Bahar has laid bare the business position at Lotus Cars since the takeover of parent company Proton by Malaysia's DRB-Hicom. Norfolk's sports car maker has been buffeted by rumours of financial crisis and looming collapse since development was frozen by the new owners (click here for our coverage of the crisis at Lotus. CAR scored an interview with Bahar at the Hethel headquarters yesterday afternoon. He was abroad at the time of last week's media maelstrom, when rumours and slurs flew around about the state of Lotus's finances.

New 2015 Land Rover Discovery Sport revealed

Land Rover has revealed the all-new Discovery Sport ahead of its UK showroom debut in January 2015. The new compact SUV will seat up to seven people and is the first model from Land Rover’s new family of Discovery vehicles. The new Land Rover Discovery Sport will cost from £32,395 in the UK and the firm is promising a sub-£30,000 model for later in 2015.

BMW MegaCity Project i We’ve know for some time that BMW are working on a  sub-brand to launch a range of City Cars under the banner of ‘BMW Project i‘. We’ve assumed that this will end up being a revival if the Isetta name to badge up the BMW city runarounds.
