Alfa Romeo 4C to spearhead marque's return to the US

Alfa Romeo is coming back to the U.S. this summer, and at next month's New York auto show the company will present the 4C Coupe to the American public. We need to take a step back to point out that even though the Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione was officially sold on our shores in a handful of locations (to a smattering of well-heeled buyers), the automaker's planned return this summer will offer cars for--ahem--a slightly larger audience.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in the USA has issued a wanted poster for Nicolae Popescu, a Romanian man they suspect of leading a “sophisticated internet fraud scheme where criminal conspirators, posted advertisements on internet auction sites for merchandise for sale”. The scam – predominantly carried out using eBay Motors – convinced would-be buyers to part with money for cars that didn’t exist. The cute & stylish Fiat 500 dashboard Even though the 500 looks cute and cuddly – which it is – its innocent, retro look belies the fact that the 500 is a surprisingly good drive. A 1.3 diesel isn’t an engine I was expecting to be overly entertaining -even if it is one of Fiat’s new MultiJet jobs –  but I was pleasantly surprised. Below 2000 rpm it’s a bit slow and sluggish and, if I am really honest, a bit of a let down.
