Joel Piaskowski becomes Director of Exterior Design at Ford North America
Mon, 27 Sep 2010Joel Piaskowski is set to become Ford's North American Director of Exterior Design. He will be filling the position previously vacated by Moray Callum, who was promoted to Executive Director for Ford Americas design when Peter Horbury went back to head up Volvo's design efforts earlier this year. "I'm very much looking forward to working with the team at Ford," Piaskowski told Car Design News.

Mike Watts, 62, has until Christmas to recoup his £300,000 investment or face losing his house. He is charging motorists £2 per journey to use his bypass made from rolled chippings and avoid the closed section of the A431 between Bath and Bristol.

After all the grief over his One Show comments (which, although a bit OTT, were actually not his views but an attempt to humorously demonstrate the BBC’s obsession with ‘balance’), Jeremy Clarkson has decamped to China – together with James May – to film for an episode of the new series of Top Gear. It looks like the piece they’re filming revolves around Chinese car clones, with the Shuanghuan Noble (Smart), Shuanghuan CEO (X5) and the Chinese version of MINI – the Lifan 320.
