Frankfurt 2013 is all about efficiency for Toyota, celebrating 16 years and more than 5.5 million worldwide sales of its hybrid vehicles. So the Japanese firm has gone crazy to applaud its own technical innovation over the years, dropping a 414hp hybrid powertrain into its Yaris supermini this, is the Toyota Yaris Hybrid-R concept. Production Peugeot RCZ R revealed ahead of Goodwood FoS debut

Production Peugeot RCZ R (pictured) revealed Peugeot promised a more powerful RCZ – the RCZ R – at the Paris Motor Show last year, and subsequently confirmed it would arrive at the 2013 Goodwood Festival of Speed. Now, with the FoS kicking off today with the Moving Motor Show, Peugeot has revealed photos of the production RCZ R – painted in sporty red – and given us some proper specs. As we already knew, the RCZ R makes use of the PSA/BMW 1.6 litre turbo petrol the regular RCZ already has, but in the R’s case Peugeot has managed to turn the wick up to 11 and delivered 270bhp.

Jaguar-Land Rover sold today (2008)

The Blue Oval announced the widely anticipated sale to the US stock markets and employees this morning, confirming it was paid $2.3 billion (£1.2bn) for the two premium British marques. It has sold them wholesale, rather than keeping a stake as it did with Aston Martin - ending a decade of American ownership.Ford bought Land Rover from the BMW-Rover break-up in 2000, 11 years after it acquired Jaguar.
