This is the lower unit from a 1998 Evinrude 15HP model E15RERE pull start two stroke engine. I bought it as a project but it needs a lot more work then I'm capable of. I assume it overheated badly before it was parted out because some of the paint on the head was melted. The lower unit was apparently taken apart before I got it. The prop shaft holder is obviously from another unit. I don't know why it was changed. I took it out, and the gears look fine. I don't see any missing teeth. It still shifts from forward to reverse. The two thrust washers on the prop shaft are missing for some reason. If you only need the housing, that looks good with no damage. That alone lists for a mere $1189.03 new. THIS AUCTION IS FOR THE BARE HOUSING. I'm just leaving the rest of the parts it has in it. It is only for parts, or a complete re-build. I'm not a boat expert so please make sure it will suit your needs before you bid. Look carefully at the photos because what you see is what you will get. $30.00 flat shipping charge for economy shipping to anywhere in the USA excluding Alaska, or Hawaii. I will not ship outside the USA. Thanks.

Ford to cut Australian manufacturing in 2016

Ford Motor Co., saddled with high costs, falling sales and financial losses, will close Australian car and engine assembly plants in October 2016 after almost nine decades of manufacturing in the country. Ford, the smallest of the country's three manufacturers after Toyota Motor Corp. and General Motors, will shut its assembly plant in Broadmeadows in northern Melbourne and an engine plant in Geelong to the west of the city, Ford Australia CEO Bob Graziano said.

Ferrari 458 Italia is the latest masterpiece from Maranello

Tue, 28 Jul 2009

Ferrari has drawn from the visual spirit of the Enzo to create a power-packed replacement for the F430 that shuns the rounded curves of its past V8s in favor of chiseled, unmistakable aggression. Boasting a new 4.5-liter V8 engine, a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox and a 202-mph top speed, Ferrari has revealed that the car--code-named F142 and long rumored to be named the F450--will be called the 458 Italia. Following Ferrari lore, it stands for a 4.5-liter engine with eight cylinders, though why Ferrari thought people would forget it came from Italy is anybody's guess.
