304789 Absorber For Electric Starter Bendix Drive - Evinrude & Johnson

This rubber absorber is used with the earlier electric start models such as the 1950, 1960, 1970 28hp, 30hp, 35hp, 40hp, Etc. Its purpose is to safely stop the bendix drive gear from spinning after the engine has started.

There is no "reserve" price.

It fits securely into a groove within the starter bracket near the bottom portion of the bendix gear.

I'm unaware at the moment as to exactly what models this absorber fits. If it is one you need, it will be listed in your parts manual under either part number. I'm sure you'll recognize it.

The list price at the moment $8.40 plus tax if purchased at any dealership. I have four (4) left in my remaining stock. My much lower starting auction price is per absorber.

Thousands of parts in my remaining stock. Not able to list them all. Let me know what you need and I'll look it up for you. Visit my eBay auction at:

‘Nemesis’ breaks UK electric car speed record

Sat, 29 Sep 2012

An electric car – based on a second-hand Lotus Exige – has broken the UK electric car speed record with a speed of 151.6mph. We’re not entirely sure how relevant a new UK speed record for an electric car is, but let’s be parochial and report it anyway. The ‘Nemesis’ is an electric car built round a second hand Lotus Exige, bought off eBay, by a team of engineers in a shed in Norfolk and driven by an Estate Agent from Gloucestershire.

1961 Jaguar E-Type ‘Barn Find’ sells for £110k

Fri, 03 May 2013

Rarity is all in the classic car world, which is one of the reasons why the early, pre-Fiat Ferraris command huge prices (there were only 33 Series 1 Ferrari 250 GTOs built and you would now have to pay north of $40 million for one) and why the E-Type – glorious and desirable though it is – commands a fraction of that. In fact, you can pick up a very decent E-Type in good condition for as little as £50k, and even E-Types that have been fully restored and with low mileage don’t often break the £100k barrier. So why has this tatty 1961 flat-floor E-Type sold for £119,020 at Bonhams auction at the RAF Museum in Hendon?
