Opel Ampera preview

Tue, 27 Jan 2009

Opel has released a teaser sketch of its new five-door extended-range electric car ahead of its public debut at the Geneva Auto Show in March. Based on the Voltec powertrain and chassis architecture of Chevrolet's Volt, the Ampera promises to surpass that car in terms of style by some margin. Steve Saleen appears to the left of the Dodge Challenger. Nattily attired in a pinstriped suit with a silver and gray tie, he looks more Manhattan than Laguna Seca. We get out of the Mopar muscle car, one of Saleen's latest creations through his new company, SMS Supercars, on display at the over-the-top spectacular that is the SEMA show in Las Vegas.

Film Friday: 'All in One' presents the car as man's best friend, proposes dog power for a greener future

Fri, 21 Mar 2014

Remember the time Chevrolet built a dog-powered car? Yeah, neither did we. And we're not even sure if the Bowtie was behind this canine-powered contraption, dubbed the "Bow-Wow Buggy" by this Jam Handy film's unwaveringly enunciative narrator (could it be Jam Handy himself?).
