This program works on all Ficht equipped V4 and V6 outboards model year 1999 & newer.
The Ficht Diagnostic Software will operate on any laptop or desktop computer running a Microsoft Windows XP, Vista & Windows 7.
The kit includes the Ficht software on CD. The user manual and the cable connecting the computer to the motor. The cable connects to the computer through a D-sub 9 pin connector (10 feet long) or the USB adapter (Sold Separately). This kit is a must for working on Ficht equipped outboards.
This program aids the user in solving service problems. This software allows a user to:
Actuate individual fuel injectors
check spark on individual cylinders
test oil injector operation run the electric fuel circulation pump
perform cylinder drop tests
display real-time sensor values and system voltages
display switch conditions and engine performance parameters
verify engine and computer timing
retrieve and clear stored service codes
display accumulated engine hours
display recorded engine hours within six operational RPM ranges
initiate a replacement powerhead oil break in program
print and save service repoert

Drayson Racing and RCA launch EV racing car contest
Thu, 06 Dec 2012Drayson Racing has launched a contest with the Royal College of Art's Vehicle Design program to design electric racing car concepts for the FIA's new Formula E series, which is set to start in 2014. The RCA's students are asked to present designs that explore new themes within the technical constraints as part of this course's curriculum. The previous Drayson Formula E concept was developed by Sergio Rinland who will be part of a series of workshops and lectures on aerodynamics, engineering packaging, production engineering and materials, giving students the technical knowledge to develop their designs.
