Peugeot Prologue concept (2008): first photos
Tue, 16 Sep 2008By Ben Pulman First Official Pictures 16 September 2008 11:14 This is Peugeot’s Prologue, a Paris motor show concept that preview 2009’s 3008 MPV. It’s another dot-dot-dot concept to join the RC, but the Peugeot Prologue is production ready. There’s a big egg-crate grille, boomerang rear lights and a full-length glass roof, but apart from toning down the big bumpers and sills, the Prologue should become the 3008 MPV with few other exterior tweaks.
VW Golf Bluemotion concept (2008): first pictures
Mon, 08 Sep 2008By Ben Pulman First Official Pictures 08 September 2008 13:22 This is Volkswagen’s cleanest Mk6 Golf, a Bluemotion concept car that is claimed to achieve 74mpg while puffing out a paltry 99g/km. Those are figures on a par with today’s Polo Bluemotion, but this concept will become production reality in mid-2009. A 1.6-litre common-rail diesel engine powers the new Golf Bluemotion, producing 104bhp and 184lb ft, but those remarkable figures are helped by revised ratios on the five-speed ‘box, optimised aerodynamics and low rolling resistance tyres. There’s also a particulate filter to keep the exhaust gases clean.
UK’s top 10 ‘silly’ motoring mistakes
Tue, 03 Dec 2013In stark contrast to recent insurance data that revealed Greater London as the safest place to drive, a new survey of motorists suggests Renault Clio drivers in London are the most careless in the UK. While the previous claim was based on real-world data collated from an insurance company’s driving safety app, this new result comes from VoucherCodesPro.co.uk, which polled 2,831 car owners about their driving habits. Britain’s safest drivers live in Greater London On Bing: see pictures of silly driving mistakes The website was apparently prompted to begin making enquiries when it noticed an increase in searches relating to car repairs over the last 12 months.
