2011 Peugeot 308 facelift arrives
Mon, 07 Feb 20112011 Peugeot 308 Facelift - sans big gob When we reviewed the Peugeot RCZ last summer, Claire commented that it was a shame the RCZ had come along before Peugeot actually got on with dumping the big-gob front end. And she was right, but at least that roll-out of a new, more refined look is underway with the reveal of the 2011 Peugeot 308. That bulbous and unattractive nose has gone the same way as Tom Jones’ 1960s big hooter, to be replaced by a slimline and elegant new look.
Bentley Continental SuperSports Spotted
Sat, 16 May 2009The Bentley Continental Supersports caught out testing before its UK launch next year [ad#ad-1] Bentley introduced us the the ‘Green’ Bentley Continental Supersports at the Geneva Motor Show in February, and they are now out shaking the car down in Europe – our snappers caught the Supersports out on the road near the Nurburgring. Clearly identifiable as a Supersports from the bonnet vents and the huge air scoops at the front, this 621bhp monster is due to go on sale in the UK in the New Year. Bentley engineers have increased the output of the Supersports to a really massive 621bhp by fettling the new Bentley to run on Bioethanol E85 and the modification of the injectors and valves, allowing the same performance whether the car is run on E85 or regular petrol.
Plea for 'no drink if driving' this summer
Mon, 11 Aug 2014AN APPEAL has been made to drivers in the UK not to touch a drop of alcohol if they are going to drive. The call comes as data from the Association of Chief Police Officers (ACPO) shows that one in fifteen drivers breath-tested were over the legal limit. Road safety charity Brake has made the plea after figures released by ACPO shows that its national anti-drink-drive campaign in June carried out 63,688 breath tests and 4108 proved positive for excess alcohol or refused a breath test.
