First 2014 Cadillac ELR rolls off the line

IndyCar driver Simona De Silvestro christened the first 2014 Cadillac ELR to roll off the line at the Detroit-Hamtramck plant in Michigan on Wednesday. The Volt-based electric-gas hybrid will go on sale next year. We assume De Silvestro is in town for the Chevrolet Indy Duel in Detroit, two races at Belle Isle scheduled for this weekend.

Spy photos might not satisfy our craving for detailed specifications on the sleek roadster—we won't know much more until the car debuts at the 2012 Paris motor show—but they have convinced us that the new Jaguar will be pleasing to the eye. Lotus evolves with moving art

WITH VIDEO -- With five new concepts dotting its stand at the Paris motor show, Lotus demonstrated that it knows a bit about metamorphosis. Now, the automaker has collaborated with French artist Gerard Rancinan and writer Caroline Gaudriault for a moving art display for a VIP event in Los Angeles. Rancinan specializes in art of the human form while Gaudriault is a journalist by trade who has worked in Japan, Australia and France.
