Caution! Not all teak is the same!

This is Genuine, Certified, Marine Grade Teak Lumber!  This is the best of the best!

Special purchase on these!  Up for bid are Super Premium, Certified, Marine Grade, teak boards! This "hard to find" lumber is priced to sell!  All have been planed 4 sides! This lot is perfect for any project where beauty and duribility are a necessity! Great for repair or for any indoor or outdoor projects in wet areas!  I think this may be close to the last of my marine teak and I am not sure when or if I will be able to get anymore given the current shortage.

For those of you who have never worked with marine teak. This is the only wood that will change color. South American teak and african teak cannot do this!  When exposed to direct sunlight, it will change from green to orange, to brown which is the final color. This takes less then a few days!  If allowed to weather over time, it will turn to a grey patina but will stay green underneath. South American teak and aftrican teak do not have this affect and this quality! This wood will last hundreds of years making it the clear choice for shipbuilders worldwide!

My guarantee is the best on Ebay!  If you don't like the teak, I will give you a 100% refund and you can keep the wood!

Price is per board and you can purchase as many as you want! Each one is carefully examined for quality. I often include extra boards based on how many are purchased!  The shipping calculator will combine your purchase automatically based on the number of pieces you purchase but I will be happy to give you a shipping quote before you purchase. Sizes are listed in inches.

Each Board measures:

1.5"  X  18"  X  1/4"

Longer sizes are available upon request. Please write for prices.

The width and the thickness are the exact sizes!  These are listed as 16 inches in length, however, they may be anywhere between 16 inches and 20 inches!  If you need them cut exactly 16 inches, please let me know before I ship.  There is no extra charge!

Email a any questions you may have. I am a nice person. Satisfaction Guaranteed!

Noye: My supplier went out of business due to the high costs of teak so I am selling out of what I have left. You will never find certified marine grade teak as cheap as this again!

Check out my other items! Be sure to add me to your favorites list!

Please don't be fooled by African teak or South American teak which is not waterproof and is only good for indoor furniture or flooring!  If you put a piece of my teak in one hand and any other teak in  your other hand, you can immediately see the difference, feel the difference, and smell the difference!  Don't settle for less, get the best. from "Quality Wood for Less"!

What Is Marine Teak?

Marine Teak wood (Tectona Grandis) is commonly considered by ship builders and outdoor furniture manufacturer's to be the planet's most versatile, durable, and valuable hard wood.   Teak forests are highly regulated due to the increased demand, ecological and economical impact, and often sub-standard working conditions on plantations.  It is not a rain forest species; growing in deciduous forests at a yield of only 3-5 trees per acre.  Thus,  it is a precious resource across the globe.  However,  there are only four countries in the world that contain natural marine teak forests; Burma, Laos, India, and Thailand, with Burma (Myanmar) accounting for approximately 80% of the world's exported natural teak supply.Since the USA trade sanctions of 2003, no burmese teak has been coming into this country which has driven up teak prices to as much as $35 per board foot making this scarce resource a valuable commodity.

MarineTeak is a dense, coarse, close-grained hardwood.  It contains high levels of resinous oils that allow it to be naturally resistant to moisture, repellent to insects, and impervious to the drying effects of weather.  Teak also contains silica, a sand-like component which creates a density to the wood that allows it to also be resistant to fungal decay, water, rotting, warping, shrinking, swelling and many damaging chemicals.  It will not rust or corrode metals it comes in contact with and it can withstand the elements of all seasons, with its beauty increasing with its age.  No other wood compares to 100 percent marine grade teak regarding its durability, elegance, stability and low maintenance; making it the ultimate material choice for furniture construction and ship building worldwide.

Note:  Small camera robots were sent through the sunken Titanic and discovered the teak lined walls in the turkish bath were still in pristine condition, looking like they did, the day they were installed and all of the metal and iron around it was disintegrating from corrosion!

Top Gear’s Clarkson & May run out of charge in a LEAF & iOn

Thu, 12 May 2011

Jeremy and James look for somewhere to plug in the LEAF and iOn Top Gear and electric cars don’t really mix. Unless of course they build the electric car themselves, and then you have a world-beating product in the Hammerhead Eagle i-Thrust. But Top Gear and Tesla wasn’t exactly a success story.

Petrolhead spiders cause Mazda recall

Mon, 07 Apr 2014

Mazda has had to recall 42,000 vehicles in the US after it emerged that a species of spider had been weaving webs in fuel vent hoses, increasing the risk of fuel leaks and fires. The yellow sac spider’s curious domestic activities cause a build-up of pressure in the evaporative fuel vent that – in theory at least – could result in a cracked fuel tank and therefore an increased risk of fire. This isn’t the first time that the Mazda 6 has received the unwanted advances of a gas-guzzling arachnid, either – three years ago Mazda had to recall over 50,000 cars for precisely the same reason.

Avoiding the California Highway Patrol on the Autoweek America Adventure

Sun, 30 Oct 2011

"Damn revenuers," said Tommy Kendall. "They are draped all along the side of the road." He spoke, of course, about the California Highway Patrol, whose strategically positioned cars--and subsequent laser-detection devices and KA-band radar--were lighting up this two-lane south of Klamath Falls, Ore., less than two miles inside the state line. It's a fact of economics, especially in California, a state that's running out of money faster than Greece.
