Honda CR-Z Mugen: First photos revealed
Wed, 18 May 2011Honda CR-Z Mugen - almost ready for Goodwood We got news a couple of months ago that Honda were getting Mugen to do a tuning job on the CR-Z Hybrid and put together a ‘Concept’ for this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed. But it seemed clear that although Honda were keen to point out that the Honda CR-Z Mugen would be a one-off, it was unlikely to stay that way. Porsche 918 Spyder: The first ride in the future game changer
Mon, 19 Mar 2012Faster than the iconic Carrera GT yet more economical than parent company Volkswagen's frugal new Up supermini, Porsche's next supercar, the 762-hp gasoline-electric powered 918 Spyder, promises to offer the best of both worlds—scorching performance and ultralow consumption. Autoweek joins Porsche's engineering team for the very first test of the car that is already causing headaches in Maranello and Sant'Agata. For all of its intense promise and awesome potential, the very first running prototype of the upcoming Porsche 918 Spyder looks suspiciously like a refugee from a shadowy postapocalyptic movie set as it glides silently into view across the vast expanse of bitumen at the Nardo test track in southern Italy.
Porsche says 1952 356 Cabriolet is oldest one sold in the U.S.
Thu, 21 Oct 2010A 1952 Porsche 356 cabriolet owned by Robert Wilson of Oklahoma City, Okla., has been named the winner of a contest to find the oldest Porsche sold in America. Porsche Cars North America ran the contest, which asked owners to submit documentation showing when their cars were first sold, as part of its celebration of 60 years of selling cars in the United States. Wilson's car, which he found in a salvage yard, was imported in November 1952 by Max Hoffman, who started bringing Porsches to the United States in 1950.
