I have worked on golf carts for 16 years at my local course and have never received a cart from the manufacturer with HEAT SHRINK on the battery jumper cables, There is a reason for this......

The deep cycle batteries found in virtually every golf cart are excessively messy and corrosive, especially to the jumper cables. The acid creeps up and through the case, along the posts and then to the terminals where the corrosion will eventually cause breakage, most likely, causing a major inconvenience.    HEAT SHRINK intensifies this corrosive process, speeding it dramatically, as it gives the acid a hiding place where you are unable to clean and neutralize it. All cables will eventually fail but, an investment in my cables will greatly increase the reliability and longevity, with proper care, lasting maybe 10 years or more.

Soldering the terminal to the cable, after the two are crimped tightly, creates a "barrel" which will not allow the cable to vibrate or pull away from the terminal. This bond also does not allow acid to penetrate between the terminal and cable causing resistance due to corrosion. Excessive resistance at the terminal/battery post junction can cause heat which could possibly destroy the battery post, leading to unnecessary replacement.

Do your cart a favor and purchase a better cable

**All cables are precisely made, to fit the stated battery set, from high quality "TOUGH FLEX" USA made welding cable and tinned ring terminals (slows corrosion). Crimped and soldered ends allow the best current flow and durability. Soldering provides the ultimate cable end termination, an important step skipped by many cable builders**

Spiderman is driver's ideal superhero rescuer

Thu, 28 Aug 2014

MORE DRIVERS in the UK say they would want Spiderman to save them in the event of a breakdown than any other superhero. The web-shooting superhero was chosen by 24% of drivers as they reckon he’d be more able to fix their car or get them to safety. Superman was a close second (22%) in the survey by IGW, with drivers commenting the crime fighter from Krypton would be able to lift their car to a garage to be fixed.

Subaru BRZ STI teased

Mon, 05 Aug 2013

Subaru are teasing the BRZ STI (pictured) The Subaru BRZ – the Subaru take on the Toyota GT86 – has the potential to be a lot more hardcore than its current setup allows. That has led to much speculation that Subaru will bolt a turbo on to the BRZ’s Boxer engine to produce a BRZ with something closer to the 300bhp we originally expected. In fact, at the end of 2011, Subaru in the US confirmed there would be a turbo version of the engine in the BRZ, although they fell short of actually confirming the BRZ itself would get it as an option, but at the end of 2012 we had a report that the BRZ will get the turbo engine and that it will deliver 280bhp.
