Here is a trick deal if you have a little skill in metal working. Back in the day this was easily made into a chopper or custom rear fender. It is the spare tire cover from a 1936 Ford spare tire cover. The metal is solid with just surface rust. You could obviously use either end. I would think the end without the clip would be the one to use. After cutting it to the desired length it would require a bit of straightening on the side. Not a hard task. Would fit a 16 inch tire and the width is almost 6 inches. If you spent about an hour of your time you would have a nice fender. With a bit more effort you could come up with two. Study the photos and if you are capable, go for it. No guarantees of anything like all my listings. I put $17.50 in the shipping figure. If it is less I will send a refund. More I will absorb it.

First sight: Volkswagen Passat (2015)

Mon, 07 Jul 2014

In recent years, European buyers have been switching their mid-size sedans and wagons for smaller cars, crossovers and SUVs. The Volkswagen Passat, Europe's most successful company car, has defined this market segment pretty much since it arrived back in 1973, and this latest, eighth-generation model has been designed to attempt to reverse that buying trend. When we catch up with design director Dr Klaus Bischoff at the car's unveiling, he's certainly confident that the new car represents a significant step forward.

Yesterday's strong bidding left many attendees in disbelief. As the gavel fell on a 1959 Goggomobil TL-400 Transporter Pickup for the top pre-auction estimate of $125,000, anyone who had dismissed RM's estimates as optimistic was reappraising the situation. Several people have brought up the legendary $112,000 sale of an Amphicar at Barrett-Jackson's Scottsdale sale in 2006.
