All-new 2015 Kia Sorento teased
Tue, 22 Jul 2014kia-world.net Is this the face of the all-new Kia Sorento? Expect the stylish, angular design to be toned down These initial artist’s impressions are based on the spy shots doing the rounds on the internet earlier this year, with the new Sorento seemingly destined to look every inch like the Kia Sportage’s big brother, a car which itself was treated to a mid-life refresh in March.
McLaren P1 explained by Anthony Sheriff (video): Paris 2012
Fri, 28 Sep 2012McLaren Managing Director, Anthony Sheriff, explains exactly what the new McLaren P1 Supercar will offer its customers. We covered what detail we have on the new P1 extensively yesterday when McLaren officially unveiled the P1 in Paris – from its construction to its downforce and active aero – but it’s interesting to get a McLaren view on their new baby, which we have from McLaren’s MD Anthony Sheriff.
Car production increases again
Thu, 19 Sep 2013THE SOCIETY of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) said UK manufacturers built 91,282 cars in August, up 16.2%, or 12,705, on the same period in 2012, leaving year-to-date volumes 3.1% ahead of 2012, at 984,545. The figures showed 20,298 cars were made for the home market this year, up 21.1%, while 70,984 were for export, up 14.8%. SMMT chief executive Mike Hawes said: "The past 12-months has been one of the most productive since late 2008." Samuel Tombs, of consultancy Capital Economics, said the CBI figures showed the manufacturing sector "continuing to go from strength to strength".
