Cars of the future could be powered by seawater
Fri, 18 Apr 2014Water from the sea could power cars of the future, if experiments currently being trialled by the US Navy prove to be successful. According to Jalopnik, the US Naval Research Laboratory is turning carbon dioxide from seawater into hydrogen, with the hope of fuelling its jets from alternative sources. Video: Jaguar XF clay model gets axed
Thu, 07 Jun 2012Jaguar recently gave a trio of clay modelers the task of deconstructing the original model of their carefully and lovingly sculpted XF sedan by handing them axes and sledgehammers in front of a camera crew. The modelers – dressed in black t-shirts and jeans – are shown taking apart the model piece by piece, perhaps taking out their frustration with designers who feel the need to get a little too hands-on with their artisan handiwork. Perhaps some other car manufacturers could using this as inspiration to destroy some of their cars, maybe – naming no names – before reaching production.
Audi TT GT4 concept (2010) first official pictures
Mon, 29 Nov 2010Audi has unveiled the new TT GT4, its latest racing machine, available for a cool €120,000. The Audi TT GT4 concept, based on the production TT, got its first shakedown at DTM season finale race in Shanghai at the weekend, with five-time Le Mans winner Frank Biela at the wheel. This TT is the work of the Technical Development and the Production divisions of the German firm's Quattro division.
