The factory fuel filter on the Duramax powered engines is not only difficult to replace because of its awkward positioning, but is also expensive. For those that have added an aftermarket fuel filtration system, or a lift pump with an integrated filtration system, such as FASS, you no longer even NEED to have this troublesome filter on the truck any longer. FASS now allows you to eliminate this by installing their Duramax Filter Delete in place of the stock fuel filter. As an added bonus, this comes pre-equipped with a gauge port for those that wish to monitor fuel pressure. With a FASS Fuel System or other aftermarket filtering system downstream of the stock filter, we are able to totally delete the OEM Filter, thus eliminating the time and costs associated with a new filter and install every 5-10K miles. Our revolutionary bowl design will screw on in place of the stock filter allowing fuel to flow through unrestricted while also offering a gauge port if the end user wishes to monitor fuel pressure! ATTENTION!!!!! ONLY USE WITH AN EXTER-NAL FILTER SYSTEM WITH PROPER MICRON RATINGS!!!!! CLEAN BEFORE INSTALLING!!!!!

The issue is a problem with the hybrid system’s boost converter software, which is used when the car is under heavy load such as accelerating hard from a standstill.

Government abandons plan to make driving test tougher

Sat, 24 May 2014

Proposals to make learning to drive much tougher in a bid to improve road safety amongst young people have been abandoned by the government, Radio 1’s Newsbeat reports. The changes would have involved the introduction of a probationary licence for the first 12 months, a curfew on driving late at night and compulsory lessons on motorway driving. But plans have been scraped because they would restrict young drivers’ lives too much.
