Design Contest: Car Design Awards China 2011 launches

The Awards are open to students of any discipline who are studying full-time at a college in China. They work to briefs set by OEMs, and their entries will be judged by a panel of distinguished senior designers whose career backgrounds are both inside and outside China.
Who's Where: James Hope appointed Director of Design at Chery Motors
Fri, 30 Mar 2012James Hope has been appointed Corporate Director of Design at Chery Motors, the Chinese state-owned carmaker. He joins Chery from General Motors, where he held the position of Assistant Chief Designer since February 2008. Hope took up his new position on 16 January, based in Chery's Shanghai satellite studio from where he will report directly to Chen Anning, Chery's Head of Product Development.
McLaren F1 LM Prototype on show at Geneva Motor Show
Mon, 04 Mar 2013The McLaren F1 LM Prototype is heading for display at the Geneva Motor Show as McLaren try to out do Ferrari in the history stakes. McLaren are taking the prototype for the F1 LM – the McLaren XP1 LM – to Geneva for its first ever trip outside the UK (it’s owned by McLaren and was promised to Lewis Hamilton if he won three F1 world championships with McLaren. He didn’t) and will have it on show as part of McLaren’s 50th anniversary celebrations.
