Federal Mogul 8-7160CH10 Ford SB Competition Performance Rod Bearings Made in USA If you're building a high-level competition engine, you'll definitely want to check out Sealed Power CH-Series rod bearings. They were developed in the trenches in NASCAR and Pro Stock competition, so you know they're tough. They're built on premium 1020AK steel backings and overlaid with Sealed Power's super-duty H-14 alloy. That's covered with a nickel barrier, followed by a thin lead-tin-copper overplate. However, unlike other performance bearings, there is no flash tin layer on top of that. That's because Sealed Powers engineers have determined that such a layer can actually move around under high performance conditions, sometimes resulting in undesirable consequences.

Ford unveils Mustang 50th anniversary logo
Tue, 26 Mar 2013Ford is gearing up for a year-long celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Mustang in 2014, and revealed a logo Tuesday to be used on fan merchandise. The anniversary logo uses the traditional galloping pony in silhouette, placed above the words “50 years.” Ford designer Michael Thompson is credited with creating the anniversary logo. The logo will either be white on a black background or black on white, Ford says.
Volvo teases new Concept ES ahead of 2014 Geneva Motor Show
Sat, 22 Feb 2014Volvo Volvo has released these mysterious teaser shots of its new Concept ES show car ahead of the 2014 Geneva Motor Show. Although largely covered in a dustsheet - annoyingly - we can still see the first details of the new car, which has the silhouette of a long shooting brake. It's also the first confirmation of the name of the car: Concept ES harks back to the 480 ES of the late 1980s, which gave Volvo a distinctive coupe with pop-up headlamps and an unusual rear end (see below).
Ford's forgotten T-Drive program

We know that our girl Murilee Martin dug this up way back in 2010, but the wonder of the Ford T-Drive system is worth revisiting. According to Drivingenthusiast.com, “T-drive is a system consisting of a transversally located inline engine, a transmission and associated packaging.” The transmission is mounted to the side of the engine, or the back, depending on how you look at things.
