Capable of reproducing coded blasts or sustained tones through the use of a number of control devices from a push button to a PLC. Federal Signal’s Vibratone horn is excellent for general alarm, start and dismissal, coded paging, and process control signaling in areas of high ambient noise levels. The Model 450 is available in DC voltages; 12VDC, 24VDC, 125VDC and 250VDC. The Model 450 produces 99dBA @ 10' . Vibratone mounting options provide for surface, flush or semi-flush mounting on walls, panels, in cabinets, on 4-inch square outlet boxes, or in concrete and deep wall constructions. Installed on the front of a Vibratone Horn, the optional Model PR Projector or Model PR2 Double Projector direct sound output straight ahead or to the sides, optimizing sound output for long, narrow rooms or corridors. Vibratone horns are UL and cUL Listed, CSA Certified and FM Approved. They are designed and approved for use in Type 4X applications when installed with the Panel Mount Gasket Kit or Weatherproof Backbox (Model WB). They are approved for Type 4X and Type 12 applications when installed with the Surface Mount Trim Ring. Each Vibratone horn is enclosed in a zinc die-cast housing and sealed with grey powder-coat paint.The Model 450 utilizes an aluminum diaphragm and heavy duty contacts. The rugged construction of the Vibratone horns resists vandalism and the effects of harsh industrial environments. Compact size, loud output and heavy-duty construction make the VibraTone horns ideal for industrial and institutional signaling applications. Wed, 07 Mar 2012Hot business over on the forums today: According to GM Inside News, Chevrolet apparently has stopped delivery of the Camaro ZL1 because of an undisclosed issue. The whacking, thwacking, lumberjacking-and-it's-OK pony cars sent to dealers and--according to one poster--delivered to at least one customer are being hauled in for a once-over because of an unspecified possible issue with the potent machines. According to Monte Doran, communications manager for Corvette and Camaro, "We go through a standard quality assessment with every new vehicle and we found what we thought was a potential concern.
Jay Kay's LaFerrari to star at Salon Privé

Among the star cars at the Syon Park event will be Jamiroquai singer Jay Kay’s spearmint green LaFerrari; the only example anywhere in the world in that colour. All the cars present will be ultra-rare, ultra-exclusive hypercars with sub-three-second 0-62mph sprint times and top speeds well in excess of 200mph.

Thu, 25 Feb 2010The only photo we have of the Lotus Evora 414E Hybrid Last year we reported on a range extender engine developed by Lotus for use in hybrid cars. The range extender engine was part of a joint project between Lotus, Jaguar, MIRA and Caparo in conjunction with the Technology Strategy Board and was designed to provide charge – rather than drive – for hybrid cars. A solution that seems far more elegant than the current Prius-type setups.
