2014 Hyundai Genesis: First photos ahead of Detroit debut

Thu, 24 Oct 2013

First photo of the new Hyundai Genesis However far Hyundai has come in the UK and Europe in the last few years, they still don’t think Europe is ready for their range-topping saloon – the Hyundai Genesis. But that could be about to change with the arrival of the 2014 Hyundai Genesis, which Hyundai has started to tease with the release of the first photos of their new car ahead of a debut at the Detroit Auto Show. Looking like a slightly tamer version of the Hyundai HCD-14 Concept we saw at Detroit at the start of the year, the new Genesis gets Hyundai’s latest Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 design language which brings with it a new Audi-esque front grill (well, Hyundai/Kia’s design guru, Peter Schreyer, did come from Audi) as well as a sleeker, more elegant style.

Bentley SUV in the flesh – it’s not a looker: Geneva 2012

Tue, 06 Mar 2012

Bentley SUV in the flesh - oh dear Now we’ve seen the Bentley SUV – the Bentley EXP 9 F Concept – on the floor at Geneva 2012, it really isn’t very appealing. Despite many detractors decrying modern Bentleys as VWs in drag, we’re big fans. The Continental GT is stunning, the Flying Spur is Epic and the Mulsanne is the best limo in the world for owners who like to drive.

Kode 7 and Kode 9 sports cars star at the Tokyo Motor Show 2013

Thu, 21 Nov 2013

One of the best things about being at an international motor show in person is coming across amazing cars you didn’t even know existed – and here at Tokyo 2013, the very best examples of this are the Kode 7 and Kode 9 on the Ken Okuyama Design stand. Absolutely stunning – but that’s hardly a surprise given the man responsible also designed the Enzo Ferrari. The Kode 7 – an evolution of the ko.7 that debuted in Geneva 2008 – appears in Exclusive (silver) and Clubman (red) guises as a lightweight track toy.
