Toyota Prius Generation “X” Revealed UPDATE: ‘Prius 10th Anniversary’
Tue, 26 Oct 2010The Toyota Prius Generation X - available in Black or White Update: We had an email from Toyota this morning asking us to correct this article. Apparently, despite titling the press release they sent us ‘Toyota Prius Generation “X”‘, it seems that’s not what this limited edition Prius is called. UK new car registrations up again in July
Mon, 06 Aug 2012New car registrations in the UK have risen for the fifth month running, with a total of 143,884 new cars registered in July 2012. The UK is continuing to buck the European trend with new car registrations up by 9.3 per cent in July (2102) to 143,884 according to new figures released by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT). That figure is the largest sales volume of 2012 and is the fifth month in a row that new car registrations have risen, despite economic woes and the Eurozone crisis, and brings registrations in 2012 to 1,201,564 so far, leading the SMMT to increase their prediction for 2012 sales upwards to 1.97 million.
Chrysler sold in £3.76 billion deal
Thu, 17 May 2007By Ben Whitworth Motor Industry 17 May 2007 09:38 Chrysler has been sold. In one of the biggest private equity deals seen in the automotive industry, Cerberus Capital Management has purchased 80.1% of Chrysler in a £3.76billion deal, leaving DaimlerChrysler with the remaining 19.9% stake in the loss-making company. The move marks the close of arguably the most high-profile transatlantic merger and shuts the door on Canadian car assembly giant Magna and billionaire Kirk Kerkorian, who last month offered £2.27billion for Chrysler.
