Lamborghini V12 Parade Sant’Agata Bolognese +video

Sat, 27 Nov 2010

Lamborghini V12 Parade at Sant'Agata Bolognese Back at the start of November we reported that Lamborghini were celebrating the end of the Murcielago after almost a decade of V12 goodness from Sant’Agata’s finest. Which was a bit of an odd time to celebrate, we thought, especially as Murcielago 4099 rolled of the line back in May. Ford Focus ST - filming in The Sweeney We had the arrival of the production version of the Ford Focus ST at the Frankfurt show in September, and it is due to arrive in 2012 – as is a film version of the iconic 1970s TV show about the Met’s Flying Squad – The Sweeney. The Sweeney – for those not old enough to remember – was a 1970s police TV drama starring the late John Thaw and Dennis Waterman as Reagan and Carter – real-life Life on Mars cops; hard-drinking, chain smoking and with a complete disregard for the rules. The Sweeney featured Ford cars front and centre, with DI Reagan driven around in a Ford Consul GT and sidekick Carter foisted in to a Cortina when Reagan sent him off on his own.

Barrichello wins for Brawn in Monza

Sun, 13 Sep 2009

Barrichello wins the Italian Grand Prix in Monza The Brawns trailed Hamilton, Raikkonen and Sutil in the first stage of the race with their one-stop strategy, but the dividends of that strategy paid off with the Brawn duo taking the lead after the second pit stops by McLaren, Ferrari and Force India. Hamilton, in the McLaren, had a good race, and was challenging Button for second place in the closing stages. But, having got to within a second of Button on the last lap, he crashed out – probably by trying a bit too hard.
