Every year at the Grand National Roadster Show you'll find one guy who gripes about all the multi-million-dollar cars entered in the show's premier competition category, the dozen open-topped two-seaters competing for the prestigious title of America's Most Beautiful Roadster. Well somebody find that guy and bring him by because this year there's only one – count it, one - Chip Foose-designed, Troy Trepanier-built entry. Using the same platform as the all new MINI, the 2 Series Active Tourer is BMW’s first front wheel drive car, although a 225i Active Tourer will go on sale in November complete with BMW’s 4WD xDrive. But the 2 Series Active Tourer wouldn’t be a BMW offering unless it also came with the option of an M Sport Pack, which is exactly what will be on offer – however unsuited the Active Tourer may seem for such sporty embellishments – when the xDrive Active Tourer arrives in November (although the M Sport Pack will be offered across the whole Active Tourer range).

Button wins in Monaco – another Brawn 1-2

Button wins the Monaco Grand Prix 2009 [ad#ad-1] This year’s Formula One season is starting to turn in to a cross between a Roy of the Rovers special and a Disney Fairytale. Not content with simply getting the Brawn GP team up and running just in time for the start of the season, and then going on to win four of the first five Grand Prix of the year, Button and Barichello have crowned all those achievements for Brawn GP by winning in spectacular one-two style at the F1 ‘Jewel in the Crown’ event in Monaco. Button got off to a great start in qualifying by grabbing pole in the closing minutes of Q3 qualifying to join Raikkonen on the front row of the grid, with Barrichello riding shotgun for Button on the second row.
