Aston Martin One-77 supercar (2009): first official picture
Fri, 08 Aug 2008By Ben Pulman First Official Pictures 08 August 2008 00:01 This is Aston Martin’s new One-77, an ultra-exclusive £1.2m supercar-cum-work-of-art. A maximum 77 of these bespoke creations will be produced, hence the name, each one underpinned by an all-new carbonfibre chassis that supports a 7.0-litre V12 and handcrafted aluminium bodywork. One-77 is merely the project’s working title – the fastest, most exclusive Aston supercar ever will have a snappier name by 2009, when deliveries begin.
Toyota RAV4 EV: Electric Toyota SUV not for sale
Tue, 19 Jul 2011Toyota RAV4 EV - Not for Sale Note: Update to this story at the end. Toyota had just spent £35 million on a pile of Tesla shares, and done a deal for Tesla to use an old Toyota plant in Fremont which was about fifty times the size Tesla could ever need.
BMW X1 at the Paris motor show 2008
Thu, 02 Oct 2008By Ben Barry Motor Shows 02 October 2008 16:03 The new X1 and 7-series were the stars of BMW’s Paris stand, but there were plenty more treats for showgoers, including the subtly revised 3-series saloon and Touring – the Efficient Dynamics-fettled 3 now boasting the lowest carbon emissions in its class. The X1 is BMW’s smallest off-roader, sitting below X5 and X3 – and, let’s not forget, above the soon-to-be-production-ready Mini Crossover Concept. In the metal it doesn’t actually look much smaller than the X3, but it does look a hell of a lot lower.
