Fri, 21 Oct 2011Nissan LEAF EV - 15k sold worldwide, but just a handful in the UK As electric cars go, the Nissan LEAF is one of the best. It looks like a proper car – even if it’s not exactly drop dead gorgeous – it has the accoutrements of a real car and you can pile in your shopping and the kids just as you could in any other family sized hatch. But from our perspective the LEAF is an orange trying to be a banana.
Range Rover Sport ploughs into basement flat
Tue, 25 Mar 2014This supercharged Range Rover Sport found itself stuck between a brick and a hard place when it crashed into a basement flat in Fitzrovia, central London. The driver, who was unhurt in this week's accident, unintentionally tested the Range Rover's off-road credentials in a freak incident, which left the 2.5-tonne SUV stuck between a house wall and some railings in the posh London street. The most expensive cars ever: Ferrari 250 GTO sells for $38 million
Fri, 15 Aug 2014By Tim Pollard Motoring Issues 15 August 2014 10:19 A 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO Berlinetta sold overnight for a record $38,115,000 (£22,528,626) at the prestigious Bonhams Quail Lodge Auction held during Monterey Car Week. At a stroke, the Ferrari has become the most valuable car in the world, overtaking the 1954 Mercedes W196 R F1 Racer which sold for $30m at an auction at the 2013 Goodwood Festival of Speed. Tellingly, seven of the top 10 most expensive cars ever sold at auction were Ferraris (see our list below).
