I owned IMCA Modifieds from 1990 thru 2010.  Some of the top drivers from Wichita Ks drove these modifieds during those years.  I've always wanted to write a fiction novel about dirt track racing, and after three years I self published my novel.  I've had a lot of compliments on my novel, and those who read it, told me how they enjoyed the fast moving story.  I also put together a coloring book that I had drawn by a good friend that lettered my race cars.  This novel will be a great gift for anyone who enjoys dirt track racing.  The following is a prelude of the book:

When Jeff Roberts tagged along with his friend Larry Monroe to watch a stock car race at a dirt track, little did he know that he'd be the one behind the steering wheel that night.  After just one night in the driver's seat, Jeff was hooked and wanted more.  In a short time, he found that the love of racing would ultimately strain his friendship with Larry, change his love for his high school sweetheart, and make him question what he wanted to accomplish in his life, yet he couldn't leave it behind.

DIRT TO ASPHALT tell the story of a young man's dream of making it big in an exciting but dangerous sport.

I dedicated this book to my Father who was my biggest fan!

New De Tomaso Pantera, perhaps? +video

Is this the new De Tomaso Pantera? Former Fiat man Gian Mario Rossignolo rescued the De Tomaso brand from the ignominy of bankruptcy in 2009, with plans to bring the world a range of 21st century De Tomasos. An idea, we have to confess, for which we had a big soft spot.

Fiat Qubo gets eco:Drive

Tue, 14 Jul 2009

the Fiat Qubo is now being fitted with eco:Drive - Fiat's economy driving monitor But as all things ‘Eco’ are the name of the game at the moment (which we’re all in favour of – just don’t use ‘Man-Made Climate Change’ as the reason) Fiat are bolting on their eco:Drive system to the Qubo – but don’t worry it will shove the price up if you’re thinking of getting one – it’s a freebie. The Fiat eco-Drive started out with a launch on the Fiat 500 earlier in the year, and is now available on not just the 500, but the Grand Punto and the Bravo. Basically, it’s a USB stick that you plug in to the car which can then be read by software to tell you how badly you’re driving.
