Lee Noble announces his new supercar project

His latest venture is called Fenix Automotive Limited – and it'll launch a new sub-£75,000 V8 supercar by this time next year, it was revealed today.The new Fenix-designed sports car will be a lightweight, mid-engined V8 that'll carry on where the original Noble M12 and M400 left off. Although the new supercar hasn't been named yet, Noble promises it'll be an ideal track-day tool capable of ripping to 100mph in less than seven seconds or pootling around on a weekend road trip.Hang on.

1933 Alfa Romeo wins 'Gold Cup' at Villa d'Este

A 1933 Alfa Romeo that its owner longed for as a youngster growing up in South Africa took home the "Coppa d'Oro Villa d'Este" honors at the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este. The award is voted on by the attendees at the first day of the event, on the shores of Lake Como in Italy. Wayne Cherry to receive EyesOn Design Lifetime Design Achievement Award

Wayne Cherry has been chosen by a panel of his fellow designers as the winner of the EyesOn Design 2013 Lifetime Design Achievement Award. Cherry, who spent his entire design career at GM, joined the company in 1962 after graduating from Art Center and was part of the team that designed the 1966 Oldsmobile Toronado and the 1967 Chevrolet Camaro. In 1965 He was transferred to GM's British operations, Vauxhall, and led the design work on the XVR Concept and designed the SRV and the 1978 Equus.
