Ford to slash price of Focus Electric by $4,000 for 2014

Mon, 15 Jul 2013

Ford will be reducing the price of its Ford Focus electric by $4,000 for the 2014 model year, InsideEVs.com is reporting. The 10 percent price cut will lower the starting MSRP from $39,995 (including a $795 destination charge) down to $35,995. This move by Ford is seen as an attempt to keep the electric car competitive since its release back in 2011.

Show Preview: Frankfurt motor show 2011

Tue, 23 Aug 2011

The biannual Internationale Automobil-Ausstellung, or the Frankfurt motor show, is again due to take place this September, swapping places with its sister show in Paris. Fittingly, the most notable unveil at that show was the BMW Vision Efficient Dynamics Concept, which was easily the most innovative and original car of 2009.

Report: Fiat-Chrysler could cut Dodge

Thu, 13 Jun 2013

Fiat-Chrysler could move into 2016 without the Dodge brand, according to a report from Wards Automotive. While the company has plans to integrate Fiat platforms into Chrysler, Ram and Jeep products, Wards reports that Dodge’s lineup is thinning. The midsize Dodge Avenger sedan will not be replaced when its production ends early next year, and two other Dodge products are expected to move to the Chrysler brand or be discontinued.
