This listing is for one brand new polished finned cast aluminum valve cover for the Harbor Freight HEMI Predator, which also sometimes referred to as the "new" predator 212. The easiest way to tell the difference is that the "new" HEMI predator motor come from the factory with a die cast valve cover, and the non-hemi "old" motor comes with a stamped tin cover(thats the same shape as the honda small blocks),. This is perfect for giving your go kart, mini-bike, barstool racer, or any other small engine project that awesome traditional hot rod look! The extra height really beefs up the look of this motor, while also providing extra clearance for various roller rocker and valve train options.

Check my ebay store/other listings for the matching top plate, catch cans, fuel pump covers, gas tanks, and clutch covers. But note that the hemi predator takes the honda style top plate, which is different from the non hemi predator. Contact me for package deal discounts if your buying multiple items.

This is polished(rough cast between the fins and recessed areas), and looks awesome, but its not a perfect mirror finish, and while it looks awesome and would be ready to enter into a mini-bike type show, its not a mass produced part, or a "show" polish. It will have minor flaws, and may have some small nicks and scratches from the shipping to get it to the USA. But if you have ever spent the time and money to polish a rough cast part, or have one polished, you will know that $15 extra for the polished cover over the cast one is a bargain.

It is very important that your motor is vented, if you do not vent your crankcase(which is usually accomplished by a hose coming off of the stock valve cover), you can lose power, blow out seals and gaskets and damage your motor. Since there are several ways to accomplish this(one of which is a nipple on the oil fill plug, which would not require a hole in the valve cover), and since most of these covers will be going on really cool custom projects, they do not come pre-drilled to give you the largest amount of flexibility; but these are good high quality, non-brittle castings that are easy to drill and tap(for a vent or pulse fitting for a fuel pump). If you are not comfortable with/don't have the tools for/would rather not mess with the drilling and tapping, call me at 972-989-4003 and I should be able to help you out.

Note: These are small production run, sand cast(not cheap brittle die cast), aluminum parts. These are high quality parts, but due to the manufacturing process, there can be very slight variances from part to part. I personally run these parts, and have been blown away by the quality( never had an issue with any of them), but just want to remind people that these are low production cast parts, not factory made, cnc machined billet parts(which is a big part of why I prefer these parts). They look awesome as cast, you can paint them(or smooth then paint if you want a mirror finish), or they can be smoothed and polished, which looks amazing!

I'm a full time Firefighter/paramedic, and an avid motorcycle rider. I part out bikes to help offset what I spend building, riding, and racing them. With that said, I'm not a big shop, and this is not my only job. I will do everything in my power to ship parts out ASAP, and 95% of the time I get them out within 1 business day of when they are paid for, but because of my work schedule(where I work 24hr shifts, and sometimes work 48 and 72hr shifts), and my riding, there may be rare occasions that it may take longer than 24hrs before I get it shipped out. If you are in a rush to get the part, please contact me, and I will do everything I can get it out fast(and if you contact me, I can make special arrangements, and 99% of the time can get it sent out the same day). But if you are somebody who expects everything to be shipped instantly "come hell or high water", please find another seller who will better fit your needs, because I may very well be busy dealing with hell or high water, or just unwinding and riding my motorcycles. And the latter should be easy enough to relate to, right? I ALSO SELL PARTS ON FORUMS and LOCALLY, so I reserve the right to END AUCTIONS EARLY. I'm happy to combine shipping when practical, and I'm also happy to make package deals if there are several parts you need. Email is the best way to contact me, but I'm happy to give you a call, or give you my personal cell number if you would rather call me. FOLLOW ME ON FACEBOOK: SMALLTOWNSPEED

UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED, ALL OF THE PARTS I'M SELLING ARE USED. I guarantee them to fit the bike I took them off of; and any other years on models mentioned are to help people find parts that may work for them, not a guarantee of fitment. I pride myself in good customer service, accurate descriptions, and low prices. There is no feasible way for me to list or confirm every possible fitment while keeping my prices low. If you're not sure, check with your local dealer, or compare part numbers at an online oem supplier like motosport. BUT I CAN NOT STRESS ENOUGH THAT EVERY PART I SELL IS SOLD EXACTLY AS PICTURED AND AS-IS. It is also possible that over the life of the bike that I'm parting out, that parts were changed to something other than what was put on at the assembly line. So, where am I going with all of this? I wont stick anybody with parts they don't want or can't use. I accept returns, and my great feedback speaks for itself; seriously, read through some of it.... I treat other riders(that's you) how I would want to be treated; but I ask that you do the same for me in two ways. 1- having realistic expectations when your buying used parts. 2- if something is not right; let me know and give me a chance to make it right for you before opening a dispute or leaving feedback. I've never had anybody who has contacted me with an issue not end up completely satisfied. I aim for 5 star service 100% of the time. If I'm not achieving that, please let me know how I can improve.

Thanks!

THE POPULAR Volkswagen Passat has been given two new generously equipped trim levels to mark its final months of production. It is due to be replaced by an all-new model within the next year, so in an effort to sell off as many as possible before that time, Volkswagen has introduced the Executive and Executive Style trim levels in place of the previous Highline. Both the saloon and the estate body styles can be ordered with the new specification.

Porsche buyers put the brakes on stop-start technology

Mon, 23 Jun 2008

By Chris Chilton Motor Industry 23 June 2008 18:56 Direct injection and a clever new PDK dual-clutch gearbox have cemented the new 911’s reputation as the greenest performance car around, but Porsche engineers are being hampered from making the iconic sports car even cleaner by the public’s reluctance to accept further green technology Engineers at the launch of the facelifted 911 told CAR that fitting a BMW-style start-stop system could chop a further 10g/km from the Carrera’s 225g/km CO2 rating but that performance car buyers weren’t keen on having such overtly planet-conscious tech on their cars. Start-stop works by cutting the engine when the car’s stationary in traffic, and restarting automatically when you touch the pedals to move off again. Every manual transmission-equipped BMW 1-series comes with the technology, excepting the truly high performance versions.

The new Audi Show Car heading for Detroit 2014 The 2014 Detroit Auto Show is on the way next month, and Audi are heading to Motor City with a concept they haven’t managed to come up with a name for – all they’ve managed is the ‘New Audi Show Car’. So what is it? Audi say the new Concept is a two-door model with high ground clearance and a sporty slant – a Crossover car seemingly designed to be all things to all men.
