Ahead of the A1’s world premiere at the 2010 Geneva motor show in March, Ingolstadt has launched a 22-step (yes, there are 22 parts to this tease) programme that will showcase Audi's new Mini challenger over the next three months. Rather than write 22 separate stories on the new 2010 Audi A1, we thought it'd serve you better to add all the updates to a single page.
Umea Institute of Design prepares for annual Degree Exhibition
Tue, 30 Mar 2004Another end of term approaches and the Masters students from the Umea Institute of Design in the north of Sweden have just presented a preview of their final thesis projects. There are 22 graduating students in total, eight of whom are from the Masters course in Transportation Design. Transportation Design is one of three MA courses offered at the Umea Institute of Design - the others are Advanced Product Design and Interaction Design.
Who's Where: Martin Smith to retire, succeeded by Joel Piaskowski as Ford Europe head of design
Wed, 28 May 2014Martin Smith, head of Ford of Europe design for the last 10 years, will retire at the end of this year, before which he will work on a project to study the future direction of the company's global design direction. He will be replaced by current head of strategic concepts group, Joel Piaskowski on 1 July. Smith (64) first joined Ford back in 2004, leaving General Motors as director of design for Opel/Vauxhall.
